Quimsa forced 20 Alvarado turnovers and outrebounded them 46-27 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Quimsa players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American Brandon Robinson (196-1989, college: Clayton St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Diego Figueredo (185-1991, agency: BIG) who added 15 points and 5 assists during the contest. Argentinian point guard Andres Lugli (188-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and center Jordan Cardenas (206-1998, college: FNU, agency: BIG) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Quimsa (2-0) keeps a position of league leader. Defending Ecuadorian champion Alvarado still closes the standings with two games lost.
